Backyard Wedding - Suffield, Connecticut | Zach & Candice
On their 10 year dating anniversary (cue the total heart melt), Candice and Zach *finally* tied the knot (see below for their adorable Save the Date: "He finally asked!"). Who would have known their meeting at Panera over a decade ago was just the beginning of a beautiful love story? I still remember sitting down with them at a Starbucks chatting about all of the details they had planned for their wedding day, which at that point was still months away. The care with which they talked about everything they had planned and their excitement to gather all of their closest friends and family together for a big backyard party to celebrate was so evident and endearing. This paired with how genuinely amazing and sweet they are, led to a phone call with my husband on the way home from that cup of coffee going something like this: "I am SO excited for them and I hope I get to be there to capture their memories!"
Lucky for me, I was! All of these carefully planned details they spent months pouring their hearts into came together for one magical day. From cornhole games they built and painted themselves, First Look, family and bridal party portraits at the Hatheway House in Suffield, Connecticut, a ceremony in a family backyard, a pizza truck for all to enjoy, and a night of dancing I am sure guests will not soon forget - everything had been perfectly planned. What makes them them is that from the moment I first pulled up to the house I saw Zach outside helping to direct cars and take care of the setup for the event, to the last moment where Candice insisted I take enough cookies to munch on on the way home (with enough leftover for my hubby, of course). These two are just good people. I'm honored to have met them and to work with clients that radiate kindness and glow with love on their wedding day.
