Irish Wedding Venue
Today we are back at Luttrellstown Castle Resort, one of Europe’s best luxury wedding venues, to share a high fashion, or haute couture, fall lifestyle session.
This photography session was everything quaint, cozy, and wholesome. Even in the world of high fashion, anything with an Irish flair feels inherently and undeniably homey and warm and I think so much of that was communicated in each of the elements of this editorial. A few brands such as Ralph Lauren, Burberry, and Holland and Cooper served as a jumping off point for the inspiration. Is it luxury? Yes. But give it a note of familiarity and accessibility. We featured a 1972 British Racing Green MGB Roadster alongside the bride in a plaid skirt with black bow and the groom in a brown tweed blazer. Add to that a few beautiful emerald green accessories along with black leather gloves, shearling vest and purse and sunglasses for the bride and it all felt incredibly Irish chic against the backdrop of one of Dublin’s favorite castles.
We even tucked away into the historic library inside this wedding venue for a few romantic and literature inspired portraits of the engaged couple. The couple’s walk to the castle library was particularly magical given the fall season of this session as the Virginia Creeper covering the stonewalls was a beautiful red hue.
Whether you are planning a European destination wedding, an elopement in Ireland, or a stateside soiree this editorial sealed my opinion of incorporating a classic car into wedding day portraits. The answer should always be “YES,” particularly if it’s vintage, antique, or complements the color palette of the wedding day, wedding venue or surrounding environment.
