What Makes a CJP Album Different Than Ordering Online?
There are three key elements that set Cora Jane Photography albums apart from what you’ll find with online retailers: custom debossed covers, lay-flat binding, and—most importantly—personal guidance throughout the entire process.
Rather than navigating the design alone, I’ll be there to walk you through every step—from curating the images that best tell your story, to providing thoughtful design input and ensuring your album feels intentional and refined. Each layout is designed in-house, with two rounds of proofing included, plus the option for a collaborative Zoom call if you'd prefer to review it together in real time.
From design to delivery, I manage every detail—overseeing edits, printing, shipping, and quality control—so you can simply enjoy the finished result: a timeless, beautifully crafted heirloom worthy of your story.
putting the fine art in fine art albums
Albums are created by hand using museum grade printing on acid-free papers with true matte finishes. They lay flat and feature square corners. Personalization options include several fabric choices, debossing, and custom presentation boxes. The professional print company I’ve partnered with to produce your album is a luxury brand partnering only with professional photographers to achieve the highest quality finished product.

FABRICS
Texture matters—and the fabrics available for your heirloom album truly don’t disappoint. After working with several renowned binderies around the world, I’ve chosen to partner with a team whose fabric selections consistently exceed expectations. The range of tones and textures in linen, leather, and suede is exceptional, offering something perfectly suited to reflect the aesthetic of your wedding day.
Many of my favorite options are already included in the base album selections, making luxury feel effortlessly within reach. And for those who wish to elevate even further, a curated selection of premium upgrades is available. All of the swatches featured below are Classic Linen options and included in your album credit.
DEBOSSING
Standard Debossing includes 14 plain text options on up to two lines; the Debossing Collection offers 16 premade and semi-custom designs (pictured here); and, Custom Debossing offers the freedom to submit any unique design, in a small or a large size - small designs measure 4x2 inches and large designs measure 7x3 inches. Blind debossing is our default style of debossing, which means no color or foil is added to the impression. Foil debossing is available on Classic Linen, Luxe Linen, Luxe Leather, Vegan Leather and Vegan Suede covers, in gold, rose gold, and silver.
heirloom albums
Your wedding day is a reflection of you—a celebration shaped by thoughtful planning and meaningful choices, shared with your closest friends and family. Capturing that story with care and intention takes time. From our first connection to the unfolding of your day, the delivery of your gallery, and ultimately, the creation of your heirloom album—your experience should conclude with something as lasting and beautiful as the moments themselves.
I believe your photographs deserve to live beyond the screen—beyond a folder on your computer or a highlight on your phone. They should exist in a form that invites revisiting, retelling, and remembering. My deep appreciation for the tangible, printed image is rooted in personal experience, and it’s a value I bring into every step of the album process.
For the custom collections that include an album credit these are intentionally structured as credits so we can make decisions after the wedding that feel right for you—no rush, no pressure, and certainly no partial promises. Every album credit guarantees a printed piece, with options to upgrade in size, page count, or finishes for those who desire something even more elevated.
Designing your album should feel curated, not overwhelming. I’m here to guide you through thoughtful choices that honor your story—resulting in a timeless keepsake that will be cherished for generations.
As both a photographer and a mother, I feel the weight and wonder of preserving moments. It’s a privilege to walk this journey with my couples, and I’m honored to help you preserve yours with care.
BOXES
There are a few options for the box you will chose to store your album in: the complimentary white one that is included in each credit, or an upgrade to a fabric or wooden box. The complimentary box is a great option for a simple storage solution, but if you decide you’d like to upgrade, my heart lies with the wooden box. Beautiful craftsmanship is at the heart of both the fabric and wooden, but the wood certainly provides a sturdy elegance I have found to be unmatched. Each box is handcrafted from walnut with various stain choices and a smooth, clean finish. And the real icing on the cake? Lid engraving is included and we can match the album cover and lid design.
the album design process
1.
When we meet over Zoom for your wedding gallery delivery we will begin discussing the album design process. Following our call you will receive access to your full gallery, an in-depth Album Order Form and a separate email in your inbox with instructions for how to move forward with photo selections you would like to see included in the initial design. The Order Form is where any upgrades can be made, or duplicates ordered. It’s also where you’ll have the opportunity to select all of the pretty finishes we’ve chatted about above.
2.
I'll design your album based on the details you've given me and the images you've chosen. From here, I'll send you an initial draft to proof via an online album-specific proofing program. It's easy and straightforward! This first round is entirely meant to get a good feel for the layout and overall feel of your day as it exists in a wedding album.
3.
Once the layout is secure the second round of proofing is for all of the detailed edits. It’ll be up to you if you’d like to schedule a design call. I always love the opportunity to see you both again and it gives us a chance to work through the specifics of your design in realtime. After two rounds of proofing and a final approval of your design, you’ll get one more confirmation email that will include a breakdown of everything you’ve selected, a mockup of your cover and an invoice that notes any upgrades and applies your album credit (if you’ve selected a collection that includes one, of course!). And then? Off to print it goes! This can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks before the album arrives to me depending on the season. From here, I do a thorough once-over to make sure everything is looking beautiful.
4.
The final step is to get your heirloom album into your hands is to ship it off in custom packaging with insurance & tracking. The cherry on top of our time together and the most perfect way to carry your images into the next chapters of life.
duplicate albums
After designing your album and getting ready to go to print you’ll have the opportunity to add on any duplicate album orders. It really is as simple as it sounds! We take your album design, duplicate it in any size you would like and order as many additional you need for family or holiday gifts. My bindery passes on a discount when they’re able to print multiples and I pass that discount right to you. The options for ordering duplicates will be outlined in your Album Order Form.
questions?
I love questions because it means you’re diving into the information and invested in the same things I am - preserving your legacy. If you have questions about anything regarding the album design and ordering process, send them over!
