Do i travel

Do I ever! Not only do I travel for my own personal enjoyment, there is nothing I love more than traveling to a new place or returning to an “old” place to photograph couples deeply in love. Use the contact form to get in touch and give me all the details on your next adventure!

should we book an engagement session

Yes. Engagement sessions are amazing for so many reasons. Top 2 reasons: We get the chance to work together and I can help you feel comfortable in front of the camera so it’s one less thing you have to worry about on your wedding day. It also gives you images to use for you Save the Date, wedding website, and to decorate at your wedding. Guests love to see engagement images displayed on your special day!

what should we wear to our engagement session

There’ll be a blog post with additional details and suggestions soon, but for now - try to keep it to solid neutral type colors and choose outfits that make you feel confident and like yourselves. I typically suggest two outfits and to start with the more formal choices and then dress down a bit for the sunset-cozy photos.

How would you describe your style?

There are typically two general categories used to describe editing styles: “light & airy” and “moody.” My style often falls somewhere in between the two as I like to edit in a true-to-color manner. Take a look at my portfolio for examples! My style of photography is not solely candid, as I believe in helping create natural poses that help you look and feel your best and lead to natural interaction and genuine emotion between you and your love.

what is a first look and should we have one

Well first, let me just say: Your day - Your decision! But, for a lot of newly engaged couples they’ve never heard of a First Look and I’d like to explain what it is and a few of the potential benefits and drawbacks. A First Look allows the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony and have some portraits taken at this time. Often this will include even some of the bridal party photos and family formals. This typically allows for flexibility in schedule and for you to visit with your guests during the cocktail hour. The potential drawback, of course, is that when you see each other at the ceremony it won’t be for the first time. For those looking for the traditional walk down the aisle, definitely opt out of a First Look and be prepared to take all of your photos during cocktail hour and see your guests out on the dance floor!

can we order prints and albums with you?

Absolutely! I am happy to send information regarding album ordering and I always encourage couples to consider budgeting for an album from the beginning. Prints can be easily ordered from within your online gallery and will be delivered straight to your door.

do you bring any lighting equipment with you?

I am primarily a natural-light photographer, but that doesn’t mean I don’t add in additional lighting, particularly during the reception portion of the evening which is often indoors. I arrive prepared to shoot in any lighting situation as environment can change throughout the day.
